“sweetest surprises from my sweetest lover”

November 3rd, 2007 by meandanton

I still cant get over it! I just experienced one of the sweetest surprises He has planned for me. It was all unexpected. He’s amazing! He really knows me well, no questions about that. He knows that I love to be surprised and he knows exactly what to do with me when it comes to surprises. He’s the sweetest lover that I’ve ever known.

It happened last night. It started with a conversation with him when I had to look for a store to buy something really important. I left "Des" (my friend) in Kaffe Rafael where we had our dinner. So I went to some store near CDC to find what I was looking for. I was alone and I then started talking to him. I told him how my heart was struggling on how I would reach out to this 22-year-old girl  whos’ totally lost and deceived by men.  I told him I just couldnt do it without him so he gotta help me with it. Also, I talked to him about what I wanted to happen on that night but it seemed impossible.  I wanted something else on that night and not just minister to this woman (I repented for my selfishness na! hehe..). Well I couldnt explain it but to be honest, I yearned to see, (just see) & probably say hi to that guy who appeared in my dream last Sept 24, 2007. (that simple lang) But then again I thought it was impossible. So  I then made it clear to him and told him this:

"Okay Lord, you know that I dont want to be with this girl cos I want to see that guy who was in my dream last September. You know the desires of my heart. You know who’s in my heart. But you told me last week and everyday of my life to just let it go and let you work it out for me and that man. So I will then continue on what I have promised to you. I will not do anything that you consider as "first moves", I will not text him unless it’s important, I will be careful with my actions and words when I’ll see him again. I will wait lang gyud Lord.  And since I love you more than anything else and anyone else, I will do what you want me to do.. so help me on how I could be a blessing to "Des", she needs you. I will give up what I want and do what you want. It’s a deal now."  (this was how I said it to him). After I had clearly told God of this, I got his peace again on having my desires to be fulfilled in his timing. He even assured me that He will make things even more beautiful than what I’m expecting. And so I moved on.

After a few minutes, when I’ve already bought what  I needed, I decided to go back to where I left Des for dinner. On my way to Kaffe Rafael (not sure how it should be spelled), after I’ve told God everything that was in my heart…… "Suddenly….I saw him…. " I saw that guy in my dream…. Amazing ka God! I knew it was him even if the streets were kind of dark..yes, it was him. I just smiled… I had the biggest smile ever and unconsciously I said "I love you Lord!" aloud (good thing no one was around, they might think im crazy!).  I couldnt believe you Lord.. sungogan man sad diay ka! hehehe..

Such a sweet surprise from my sweet Lord!

Moving forward, the night was a great night. I had a great talk with Des, listened to how broken she is. I was able to share to her my brokeness in my past. I shared to her who I was before and who I am right now, How God changed my heart & my life and how it will be possible for her too. It was a quick dinner, how I wished we had more time but she had to go. I am looking forward to have more time with her again.

After that, I spent time with some friends from the church in Starbucks and I really, really enjoyed it soooo much! It was all laughter and smiles and everything…

….and then I had to go to work. (how I wished I could have stayed longer), can’t do anything about it though. I promised God I will be an excellent worker in that company. hehehe..

Overjoyed…overwhelmed… overly-surprised (sakto ba?)… whatelse? well… what can I say?  The lover of my soul is just soooo soooo sWeEt that he cant help it but give me sweet surprises everyday!

("I Love You Lord!")

“Princess Jeny”

July 10th, 2007 by meandanton

* I am my daddy God’s princess!*

I have an identity that cannot be marred
by the circumstances of life.
It does not fade, nor age, nor fail,
no matter how great the strife.
It grows! It becomes more beautiful!
It defies all the world can give!
For it has its roots in Him who died
who was raised
and through whom I live.
But how to live without worldly acceptance?
Without recognition or fame?
How to live with the patterns Ive built
and not be a "winner" in the game?
How?
By knowing who I am,
By accepting His truth about me.
By grasping, clutching, and tenaciously clinging
to the truth I have come to see.
Sweet victory–sweet triumphal fragrance,
confident, persuaded, content to be.
No longer controlled by who I was
But to live!
Accepted!
In my true identity.

On Location - Take a Dive
by Ed Young

I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents (Luke 15:10).

How much do you matter to God?  Three parables in Luke 15 compare the value of a lost coin, a lost sheep and a lost son to the value God places on each human life.  In each case, these three things were highly valued and diligently sought after when lost.

And, in each case, there was much rejoicing when found. Jesus tells us that likewise, and in much greater measure, God and His angels rejoice over even one sinner who was lost and is found.  That’s the reality of how much God loves you.

Hebrews 2:7 tells us, "God has crowned us with glory and honor."  We have the ability to live like royalty as sons and daughters of The King.  But first we must recognize that our crowns are broken because of sin, turn to Christ for forgiveness and trust Him to restore us to our royal position through the power of the cross.  Are you living up to the value God has placed on your life?

Take your flimsy and broken crown to the the feet of Jesus Christ, repent of your sins, and let him give you a new crown of eternal glory.  And start living like royalty!

Keeping our eyes on the prize..

PHILIPPIANS 3:14 KJV
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of
God in Christ Jesus
.

What will really matter at the end of your life on earth?

Will what you are giving attention to now still be important
then?

Or, will you be filled with regret for what you did — or
didn’t do?

Distractions abound. TV, phone calls, web sites, books, movies.

It might be a good idea to stop and evaluate how you are
investing your time.

1 CORINTHIANS 9:24 NIV
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only
one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.

Run to win. Win what?

The true prize is to know God intimately and be His friend.

2 CORINTHIANS 4:18 NIV
18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is
unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is
eternal.

One day, possibly soon, you will stand before God. Why not
order your life now based on that "final reckoning?"

A wise person would not invest everything in something
temporary. A wise person invests in something that will last.

*Lord, help me to keep my eyes on what is important
and lasting.

Are there times when you feel like you’re being dragged along, you can’t get a footing, you have nothing for an anchor, and you desperately need something that would bring stability into your life? Maybe something like a great big rock—with secure hand holds—nothing slippery or sharp—and a flat place where you could sit down or stand and observe the turbulence around you but be completely untouched?

How about those times when you wish you could run into an impenetrable fortress, slam the door, drop a heavy beam down that would keep anyone from opening the door, and you could just heave a sigh of relief and collapse? Sounds nice, doesn’t it?

Perhaps you have longed for something to shield you from the hurts of your world? Something that would keep those ugly words, the rejection, or the tragedies in your life from hitting you and destroying you? "They hurt so badly! Where can I turn? What can I do?"

I love You, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge;
My shield, my great and powerful Savior, my high tower.
I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised,
And I am saved from my enemies.

Psalm 18: 1-3

What have we left out of these verses? You are so right! "My great and powerful Savior!" This great and powerful Savior wants to be your Rock, your Fortress, your Deliverer, your Shield, and your High Tower.* As you stand on Him—your Rock—you can shiver as you see the turbulent waters reaching for you, but you’re safe! You have an unshakable Foundation and He is right there with you! The door to your Fortress is always open for you and He loves to be your Hero—the One to deliver you from the perils of your world! He will shield you, protect you, and lead you safely to your High Tower.

Psalm 18: 1-3—memorize those verses. I have. In my Bible they are colored red, (for important), highlighted with yellow, in a box that I drew around them, and marked up with cross-references. Why? Because I need all of those things. And a human cannot possibly fulfill those needs, that’s too much to expect from anyone in your circle. Only your Great and Mighty Savior can be all of those things for you.

The question is, do I allow Him to BE all of those things for me? Is He lying to me? Are those just "sometimes He is" verses? Can I possibly grasp His amazing role in my life? It is so incredible! I truly desire this. Show me, Lord.

I call upon the name of the Lord and I am saved…

But it isn’t sacrificial bullocks or goats that I want from you. For all the animals of field and forest are mine! The cattle on a thousand hills! And all the birds upon the mountains! If I were hungry I would not mention it to you—for all the world is mine and everything in it. No, I don’t need your sacrifices of flesh and blood. What I want from you

is your true thank; I want your promises fulfilled. I want you to trust Me in your times of trouble, so I can rescue you, and you can give Me glory. (Psalm 50:9-15 TLB)

Clearing Up Conversion Confusion

July 4th, 2006 by meandanton

God never seeks to confuse us. Rather, He expresses Himself precisely, because He desires that we truly understand His teachings and how they apply to our lives. Simply put, the Lord wants us to trust in Him with complete confidence.

We have an enemy, however, who attempts to undermine that confidence at every turn. We’ve all been there — joyfully moving along through life, sure of our salvation, and then, BAM! We stumble into sin, and our feelings take over. The Devil uses our remorse and conflicting emotions to eat away at our confidence. We think, "Theres no way I can be saved. If I were truly be saved, I would never have done such a thing." Overwhelmed by feelings of regret and shame, we find our faith coming under fire.

It is amazing how effectively our fleeting human emotions can undermine assurance in God’s promises. However, we should not find it all that shocking. After all, men and women have been conditioned to let their feelings lead them through life. “If it feels good, do it” is an all-too-common motto in today’s world.

Yet, the Lord does not speak in feelings; He speaks in truth. Whenever your emotions contradict the Word of God, you can be sure that the Scriptures are reliable. For a believer, “feeling saved” is as irrelevant as a husband or wife “feeling married.” You either are or you’re not; your feelings do not make it so.

***Lord, I am embracing the certainty that only comes with YOUR truth, im laying all the feelings before you today and everyday.. ***

hacking!

June 8th, 2006 by meandanton

Since december, some of my online accounts are being hacked.. well, even before my ex and i broke up, my online journal was already being hacked.

anyway, right now, my multiply account is active and i dont know who’s accessing it and updating it and putting pics and entries to blogs, and everything. Ive been receiving invitations from that account with my name on it (aint it crazy? am being invited by "Jeny Murillo"? hehehehe…) Everyonelese would think that its me.. but GOD knows that its not me. I do not have access to it anymore.Well its not really botherin me right now cos I have lots of important things to do than just keeping track on what theyve been doin. I am confident that in time, we will know who’s behind all these and that they will be facing the consequences of their actions. :)

hmmmm…  my life has been so exciting and full of challenges and I just love it. I have moved out from where I used to stay, and have moved on and enjoying life with my son. I now clearly understand why GOD allows the pain and the tears and all.. and I thank HIM for allowing it and I even thank HIM for the people who hates me and loves pissing me off.

:)

here’s God’s words for me right now:

"Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you. He will make your innocence as clear as the dawn and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun. Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. Stop your anger! Turn from your rage! Do not envy others- it only leads to harm. For the wicked will be destroyed, but those who trust in the LORD will possess the land" (Psalm 37:5-9, New Living Translation).

Life Can Be Tough

JOHN 16:33 ICB
"I told you these things so that you can have peace in me.
In this world you will have trouble. But be brave! I have
defeated the world!"

Jesus never promised us that everything would be perfect here
on earth. He recognized that we would encounter trouble. But
His instructions were to be of good cheer — not to let it get
us down.

As we encounter difficulties in life, it will help us to
remember the big picture. First, God is our Father and has a
wonderful eternal plan for us. We are His children and He loves
us. Second, this time is but a training period for our future
life with God. We are supposed to be learning to trust God and
to obey Him.

So, every problem we ever face is an opportunity to walk in
faith and please God. Every problem is an opportunity to
overcome with God’s help. How can we expect to receive the
blessings promised to the overcomer if we never have anything
to overcome?

What is the answer when we seem overwhelmed with trouble? Look
to Jesus. He has already won the victory. He has overcome and
defeated the world. In Him is victory.

You may ask how you can look to Jesus. It is mostly a matter of
focus — what you choose to think on. What God says in His Word
will set you free and give you peace. What the circumstances
say is not the final word.

So, go to God’s Word. Cling to the promises. Speak them. Sing
them. Shout them. Rejoice over them. And thank God for them.

Also, you need to develop a closer relationship with the Lord.
That is His desire and it should be yours. All relationships
are based on communication, so you must talk to the Lord to
deepen your relationship with Him. Develop the habit of talking
with Him about everything. You can speak freely to Him — after
all He knows what you are thinking anyway.

"No matter what I face, the Lord is with me, and I can
overcome because Jesus already won the victory."

Fear Not JENY…

April 24th, 2006 by meandanton
With everything that is going on in the world today, the spirit of fear seems to be working overtime. We have every reason to fear, but the spirit of fear does not come from God. It can be crippling to anyone who holds on to it.

The devil wants us to be afraid. He wants us to be so overwhelmed that we cannot accomplish the things we need to do. Remember, if God is for us, no one can be against us. We are overcomers! We are to hold fast to God and stand strong.

Recently, I had a personal situation that was causing me much stress and concern. I needed a clear word from the Lord. As I sat on my couch in the middle of the night, I called out to God for a Word that would help me. I hated feeling so badly. I turned in my Bible, looking through many Scriptures, when I came across this one:

"Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city" (Acts 18:9,10, NIV).

I felt so much peace as I read it. I had been having feelings that something bad was going to happen to me. I could not shake them at all. Now I felt totally free. All the emotional pain left. Instantly it was gone. Praise the Lord! I knew I was in God’s hands and I needed to continue doing what God had called me to do. I knew I would not be harmed and that God had angels all around me. I knew everything was going to be all right. It didn’t matter what anyone else thought; I knew what God said.

On the next day, I realized this same Word is true concerning the recent scares we have experienced. We must refuse to worry about what "may" happen. God is going to see us through. He has His angels all around us and we have many Christian friends here for us. Greater still, we have God’s Word and His peace with us 24 hours a day. Even in the middle of the night while everyone else is sleeping, God is awake. He is waiting for us to call out to Him. He is there. He loves us so much. Don’t be afraid… He is there.

Today’s message for myself:

April 23rd, 2006 by meandanton

Ive been restless, in as much as i would want to write more.. Nikki is here right now, i need to go.. ill catch up later.. but here’s what i want to share to you.. God’s messages for me today:

Let God Set Your Agenda

But this thing I did command them: Listen to and obey My voice, and I will be your God and you will be My people; and walk in the whole way that I command you, that it may be well with you (Jeremiah 7:23).

Remember, you made your schedule, and you can change it. Pray about your day, your week, and your life goals to find out what God wants you to do, and what He doesn’t want you to do.

If you don’t do what God is telling you to do, you may let people control and manipulate you to do what they want you to do. You may end up doing things for which you are not anointed. If you do what God tells you to do, He will bless you with joy, peace, rest, and wonderful relationships.

Get Rid of Distractions

That which is desired in a man is loyalty and kindness [and his glory and delight are his giving] (Proverbs 19:22).

Sometimes you may just need to clear away the clutter so you can clearly see what is worthwhile. Here is a simple suggestion: Don’t keep more than you can take care of. If you have so much junk in your home that it takes you hours to dust it, get rid of something.

Find a big carton and write "Blessing Box" on the side of it. Start putting extra things into it until cleaning is more manageable. Find someone who doesn’t have much and bless them. You will be amazed at how easy it is to start your day right when you are no longer distracted by things you don’t need.

Get Up and Work

And let the beauty and delightfulness and favor of the Lord our God be upon us; confirm and establish the work of our hands-yes, the work of our hands, confirm and establish it (Psalm 90:17).

It is obvious we are supposed to work more than rest. Some people just lie on the couch, eating junk food and watching television all day, and then they wonder why their lives are a wreck.

Once rested, get up and work. You can’t take authority over your life if you don’t have authority over a sink full of dirty dishes or a messy garage. If you want to grow in ministry to others, the Word says you must get your own house in order first (see 1 Timothy 3:5). Stay home and clean if you need to; but win the battle of getting your life in order before tackling the whole world.

Ministry Is Fulfilling Work

For you shall eat [the fruit] of the labor of your hands; happy (blessed, fortunate, enviable) shall you be, and it shall be well with you (Psalm 128:2).

There is nothing more fulfilling than being rested and ready for the work that God has called us to do. God puts the desire in us to minister to people through whatever work we do. But ministry is work that requires physical, emotional, and spiritual strength.

Hard work is rewarding when you follow God’s way and minister to other people through "the labor of your hands." That is why it is so important to start your day with God. His presence will build you up emotionally, His words will strengthen you spiritually, and the time of rest that He calls you to enjoy will make you physically able to handle whatever may come your way.
